Why Alive Counselling?

We believe in the transformative power of living fully and fostering strong, loving relationships to shape a better world for future generations.

How do we do it?

We work with the emotions which are at the core of your behaviours. This enables lasting change rather than just temporary behavioural modifications.

What do we do?

We use evidence-based counselling and psychotherapy to help you live your life fully, including Emotion and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT),  Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and others to achieve great results.

Are you struggling with anger, anxiety, depression, past trauma, grief, relationship issues, or simply feeling stuck in your life? Even though we cannot change your past, we can help you heal.

We also help couples improve their current relationship from good to great, rebuild trust after affairs, and help dating couples elevate their love for a more intimate relationship that lasts.

What to expect?

Based on research and experience, significant lasting change needs time. Depending on the complexity and seriousness of the issues, you may need 5 to 15 sessions for individuals, 8 to 20 for couples or 10 to 20 for families. We normally review on the 5th session; most clients can see the benefits by then.

In each session, we guide our clients from feeling emotionally “stuck” or limited by past traumatic experiences towards pursuing their most valued aspirations. Witnessing our clients become more confident and optimistic about their future by the end of counselling is truly exhilarating.

NOT an emergency service.

"Simone & Logan"

"Thanks, Aaron, we could feel the benefits of each couple counselling session, even in our first session. We had done lots of work with different psychologists individually and as a couple prior to our first session, but the work with you feels deeper and different, in a good way. Just by helping us to slow down during the session makes us more aware of our primary emotions."

"Simone & Logan"

Aaron was so much more than I could have ever imagined and assisted me in ways I never previously considered. Thank you so very much Aaron for helping me through a difficult time. 10/10”
